Ali Khalid is one of my old friends and I happen to know him from about five years now. He has recently graduated as an Engineer from GIKI (one of the top institute in Pak).

He has taken the charge to improve the quality of our directory by improving our review process. You are about to see some changes and I hope you will be even more happy with our service.

So from today, Ali is officially a part of Best Web Directory.

It’s a pleasure to announce a much awaited update of Best Web Directory. It’s been a little over 4 months we started Best Web Directory and since than we are trying to improve it with every passing day. Even though a custom made template is not important to get better ranking in search engine, it surely helps to have a better online presence. So we decided to give our users a better experience.

The new template is nicely done by a very good friend Asim from FuturisticArtists. Asim has done some pretty nice work for a lot of directories. You can see some big names in his portfolio. Keep it Up Asim.

New template is not the only update. We have decided to introduce “Terms of Use” and to improve our Submission Guidelines. If you have already submitted your site to BWD, please make sure that you have read TOU for once and agree to it. This “Terms of Use” is effective immediately and all links submitted before must follow it (If you have any query, feel free to contact us or leave a comment here).

In the meantime, we were also trying to improve our review process and to make our directory a better resource. We are going to introduce an innovative concept (hopefully tomorrow) that is surely going to change how people perceive web directories. Stay tuned for the major change.

Islamic Republic of Pakistan is celebrating its 60th birthday today (14th August, 2007). I decided to join in and celebrate this occasion at Best Web Directory by listing some useful resources featuring information about Pakistan. So throughout today, I will keep adding more content and website providing information. Initially I am planning to add at least 60 website but if you can contribute as well, this list will surely grow more.

Keeping that in mind, I have started this topic where I will be adding all the directories that have alternate payment method available to their users. I will also be adding other relevant information about listed directories with time.

It may not help right now as I have seen about 95% of submissions to Best Web Directory carried out with PayPal but I am sure with time, things will change. This post is also an attempt to help those who have been out of Directory Market as they can not submit to directories with PayPal as the only option because of the non availability of PayPal in their countries.

I am sure having Alternate Payment option will add value to your directory and will be a helpful tool for submitters as well. To get into that list, the only requirement is that you must have clearly mentioned your options on Submit page (or in guidelines). That is, submitter must know before he submits to directory.
